Blend 2.Summer

Summer has arrived (officially, at least), and with it comes our new Blend 2 Summer.

Even though we're no longer children, summer still has a certain freedom. Summer means going to bed later. The smell of freshly cut grass and the sea. Bike rides (the Tour…) and soccer games in the neighborhood square. Camping. Family. The heat. Ice cream, milkshakes, and lemonade. Above all, summer is always something new. Every summer is different, and every summer is a step forward.

Our head designer, Lisa Palper, has understood our intention in creating this blend. It's not a complex list of tasting notes. Summer is sentimental. It's passion, freedom, and warmth. But above all, summer is nostalgia.

We're eager to bring you our newest seasonal blend: Blend 2.Summer.

We'll miss this blend, but for now, we'll drink it all.

Blend 1 Spring!

Prepare a blend It's a major challenge, especially for a specialty roaster focused on micro-lots and highlighting the uniqueness of each coffee.

For Saint Augustine, the blend It's our business card. We want it to be GALIBIER, Blend (like us). We don't buy worse coffees to mix and satisfy an undecided clientele. blend It's a good way to test our offerings. Our inventory and mix change throughout the year. 

We want to highlight our philosophy with a new image. And we want this image to change with our product.

You can find it available in our Blend 1 Spring! starting March 26th (although we know that spring starts this Saturday with the Milan – San Remo!). And, as always, it can be at your home just a couple of days later.

GALIBIER, Blend

Galibier Blend

Like every July, the season has already begun Tour and, like every summer, we now have available the blend most special of the year.

Cycling creates its myths with endless pain and effort. With improbable situations, with exceptions. With sweat, with stifling heat, and with snow. With the riders' struggle against their rivals and against themselves.

Last season we chose the protagonists of the Tour from 1984, which was decided by just eight seconds, to represent the delicate balance between three excellent coffees. All three from Kenya.

This year, we needed an even bigger icon.

Bigger than Lemond, that Fignon and? HinaultYes. We needed to find something bigger than any great champion in the history of cycling.

The icon of the blend most special of the year, the icon of Tour 2017, and one of the most important in the history of cycling:

GALIBIER

This mountain has witnessed and judged great battles for more than a century. Bahamontes and Anquetil, Coppi and Bartali against France and the world, Ocaña and Merckx, Van Impe, Zoetemelk, Indurain, Rominger…All the greats have had to measure the slopes of this myth with a certain prudence.

To live up to this Cabbage (2,645 m.), we have introduced our favorite coffees of this season in a blend which aims to be a step beyond its origins. More acidity. More flowers. More fruit. More pleasure.

El Rodeo (Colombia, Huila. 1,760 m.), Oromia Limu (Ethiopia, 1,400/2,200 m.) and Kimathi (Kenya, Kiambu. 1,950 m.).
