Description
La Esperanza
La Esperanza is located in Palestina, a municipality in the state of Caldas, in south-central Colombia. It's situated in the Coffee Triangle, which has a culture and tradition linked to the colonization of Antioquia and coffee cultivation. This speaks volumes about the caliber of La Esperanza's coffees.
Under the direction of producer Fabián E. Hernández, the farm has served as a source of rich and delicious coffee for 22 years. Hernández is a farmer and construction supervisor originally from Pitalito, Huila. Mr. Fabian collaborates with a group of six farm residents in managing the farm's operations.
The farm covers a total area of 3.5 hectares, of which 3 hectares are used for coffee cultivation. Here, the coffee cherries can undergo a natural process or a washing process. The drying process is completed under the sun.
In addition to having a long history, the coffee-producing region also enjoys great prosperity. The coffee shop has participated in several tournaments with a group of friends.
These coffees are grown in an environmentally friendly manner. Farmers in this area take the utmost care with the aforementioned methods to avoid environmental damage. They strive to be environmentally conscious.
This Arabica coffee, which comes in the Bourbon Rosado varieties, is primarily offered in Pitalito and Palestina and is harvested in the months of May, June, July, October, November, and December. The farm produces a total of 90 sacks, each with a capacity of 70 kg of green coffee, throughout the year.
