Organic and Fair Trade Coffee from San Juan de Río Coco
The 25 de Marzo Cooperative, established in 2008 in San Juan de Río Coco, Madriz, is a union of 92 members, 23 women and 69 men, all with coffee farms in various areas of the municipality. Our production covers 283.47 hectares and focuses on quality, certified organic and fair trade coffee.
We strive to be a strong, self-sufficient cooperative, excelling in the effective production and marketing of certified coffee and profitable products. We value social and environmental responsibility, and are recognized nationally and internationally for our credibility in the coffee industry.
We operate as a non-profit cooperative, providing quality services and advice with social and environmental responsibility at every stage of the production and marketing of certified coffee and other products. We contribute to improving the standard of living of our members and their families.
Prosecution
At the 25 de Marzo Cooperative, we place great importance on every stage of the production process. After meticulous harvesting, our coffee undergoes an 18-day drying process on raised beds inside greenhouses. This controlled technique ensures unsurpassed quality in every bean. Our dedication to this meticulous process contributes to the creation of an exceptional coffee, imbued with the distinctive flavor of San Juan de Río Coco.
