A perfect combination of flavor and purpose.

🌍 Origin and Processing

The washing station Tongwe, located in the commune of Bururi, was inaugurated in 2015 and currently brings together 525 small producers. Under the supervision of Gaspard Kantungeko, and with the technical support of the agronomist Eric Ndayisenga, the coffee is carefully processed on 100 drying beds that take advantage of the area's microclimate. The soil, of volcanic and rich in humus, gives the bean a unique mineral complexity that is perceived in every cup.

You can read more about this station in the technical sheet of Royal Coffee, one of its main exporters.

In areas such as Bururi, programs are being promoted to promote the community development and the professionalization of the sector. The creation of cooperatives, access to better prices, and the use of sustainable agricultural practices are encouraged.
