If you like simple things and practices, then you will love the AeroPressThis portable, lightweight coffee brewing device stands out for its pressure and short brewing time. It was invented by the same man who created the Aerobie (those Frisbee-like toys you can throw long distances).
The AeroPress is perfect for making just one cup of coffee at a time. We love it because it's easy to take anywhere and is simple to use, so you won't be tempted to throw it against a wall. Take it camping or anywhere else.
This guide It will help you make a 200 gram cup with the classic AeroPress and a 170 gram cup with the AeroPress Go
The recommended coffee-to-water ratio is 1:15, meaning 15 grams of coffee to 225 grams of water. The coffee should be ground coarsely, like coarse salt.
STEP 1 – PREPARE
We'll be using the inverted method, so start by placing the plunger in the chamber just below the highest number mark*. Turn the assembly upside down and place it on the scale with the chamber side facing up.
- *Aeropress Classic: Number 4
- Aeropress Go: Issue 3
Weigh the coffee for your recipe.* Fill the kettle and heat the water.
- *Aeropress Classic: 15 grams
- Aeropress Go: 12 grams
STEP 2 – GROUND AND WEIGHT
Grind the coffee, similar to coarse salt. Weigh the appropriate amount* of ground coffee into the Aeropress and tare it. scales. Gently tap to level the coffee base.
- *Aeropress Classic: 15 grams
- Aeropress Go: 12 grams

STEP 3 – PREPARATION
Immediately after boiling, remove the kettle and let the water settle. Start the timer and pour in enough water to saturate the coffee bed.
- Aeropress Classic: 30 grams
- Aeropress Go: 24 grams
Using the included paddle or brewing spoon, gently tap the coffee grounds until they are all saturated. Let it bloom or expand for 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds, add water in small circles until the scale reads the final amount. The suspension should fill almost the entire chamber.
- Aeropress Classic: 225 grams
- Aeropress Go: 180 grams
Remove the scale assembly.

STEP 4 – RINSE AND STIR
While brewing coffee, place a filter in the filter lid and rinse it with hot water from the kettle. This will help seal the lid and also eliminate any papery taste the filter may impart.
When your timer reaches 2:30, stir vigorously 10 times.
STEP 5 – TURN AND PRESS
Work quickly: Screw the filter cap and filter onto the chamber. Gently place your cup onto the inverted AeroPress.
Flip the Aeropress and mug over together until the mug is resting on the table with the Aeropress on top.
Plunge into the cup. The plunge should take about 30 seconds, and the final brewing time should be about 3 minutes.

STEP 6 – SERVE AND ENJOY!
Remove the AeroPress and enjoy!
We like to do it in the same cup you'll be drinking from - it saves time and cups.
