The technical design of the grinder is the result of many years of research and development in the Comandante laboratory. The Nitro Blade grinder uses a special stainless steel with a very fine martensitic crystal structure, which guarantees exceptional flavor neutrality, is extremely robust, and maintains its sharpness.
The grinder's geometry has been optimized over the years and offers good productivity with easy handling and the best grinding quality.
The Commander C40 Mk4 has a finely graduated grind setting, which also allows for some fine gradations within a brewing style. The click-in mechanism on the grinder adjuster prevents uncontrolled adjustments during grinding and ensures repeatable settings for all brewing methods. This performance and handling make the Nitro Blade the number one choice for coffee enthusiasts worldwide, from home baristas to world champions.
The C40 MK4 comes with two coffee jars. One amber and the other clear polymer. Both containers are tasteless, food-safe, and easy to clean with hot water. Each holds 40 grams of coffee.
Commander products are aluminum-free and made exclusively from stable, safe, and food-safe materials, such as stainless steel, wood, glass, and high-quality polymers.
High-performance polymers are used in some components of the C40 MK4 to make the grinder slightly lighter, dimensionally stable, and very robust. They are BPA-free and have been extensively tested by recognized regulatory bodies and classified as food-safe.
Commander® loves wood. The C40 MK4's crank knob is handcrafted in the Black Forest and is made of solid oak, a solid piece of nature with a beautiful grain that fits perfectly in the hand and functions ergonomically and efficiently.
