Description

Bella Vista – Mexico

In Bella Vista – Mexico, the family Cifuentes has been growing coffee for decades. The farm Rosalba Cifuentes It rises at an altitude of 1,650 meters, nestled among chalum trees and fruit trees that shade the coffee plantation. It's not a large plantation, but rather inherited land, cared for with patience and respect. Many of the plants are over seventy years old; they continue to bear fruit because someone, every year, believes in them anew.

Family and process

The impulse of Rosalba Cifuentes Tovía changed the course of this story. After years away from the country, he returned to Bella Vista to support his family and neighboring producers, creating Mayan Harvest Coffee as a network that connects his community to the world. Today, along with his uncles and cousins —Eugenio Roblero, Froilán Roblero Cifuentes and Otoniel Roblero Cifuentes— keeps the farm and the trade alive.

The harvest is still done by hand. Each cherry is picked at its peak, pulped the same day, and washed with mountain water before being dried in the sun. There's no machinery or rush, just the rhythm of a job well done. That gesture sums it all up: the value of origin, family memory, and the commitment to continue farming with dignity.
